Hello! This is my second real bride post for the lovely B.LOVED and I'm so excited about writing this post as we are in full swing of planning not onem, but two weddings days...

That's right two weddings... two venues, two locations, two photographers and two dresses!!!

Despite sounding like a fabulous idea, it doesn't half make you one weary bride-to-be. We're having two separate affairs because although we originally wanted to wed officially in Spain and just have one large wedding, logistically and legally to marry out of the UK is so difficult - despite Mig being a Spanish resident! So we decided to have a much smaller private legal wedding in the UK, and head to Spain the following weekend for a slightly larger wedding party and blessing with all of our Spanish friends.

As I am lucky enough to work in the wonderful wedding industry, so I have amazing connections within the industry and am able to keep my finger on the pulse with the latest trends! Along with my talented wedding friends I have been able to pan the back bones of both weddings relatively quickly.

It was quite easy to come up with two "themes" for our special days, choosing to have a juxtaposition between one super slick water/city themed wedding in Bristol my home town and then a super warm rustic/pretty theme for our Spanish day.

I chose to design our day in the UK around the city itself with a more industrial look, going for cool greys and lots of white florals. I wanted it to have a slightly more polished look overall with a touch of artisan... and we are having an amazing team of consisting of Louise Beukes and Rachel Husband of The Rose Shed who will handle styling and florals.

The Spainish blessing and party will be more "fine-art pretty" in aesthetic with an outside ceremony, copious amounts of olive foliage and abundant in candles! I'm excited about working with Amy Bowley from Bo Boutique who will be styling and creating the florals. This day is all about pretty olive groves and dancing into the small hours of the morning. I am using rose gold as my accent colour along with various neutrals.

We have similarities throughout both days, for example I will be wearing coloured dresses - not opting for the traditional white number! - and florals will play a huge part on both days. Stationery is also hugely important to me - I'm even learning hand-lettering!

I am beyond excited to be planning now we are in full swing with the nitty gritty of planning and DIY projects. Even though its not easy to plan across two countries I think the outcome will be hugely rewarding!

Ashlee xx
